Overview

TubeBoost.ai ("we", "the Service") is an AI Powered YouTube Description Optimizer that helps YouTube creators rewrite and publish their video descriptions for SEO. We respect your privacy and only collect what is necessary to make the Service work and to understand usage.

Information we collect

• Google account info (name, email, profile picture) when you sign in with Google.
• Login events: we log each successful sign-in (email, name, channel ID, timestamp, hashed IP, user agent) so we can monitor usage and prevent abuse. IP addresses are one-way hashed before storage and never stored in plain text.
• YouTube channel and video data (titles, descriptions, view counts, thumbnails, privacy status) accessed via the YouTube Data API. This data is held only in your browser session and is not stored on our servers.
• Optimization history (which descriptions you've published, baseline view counts) is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to our servers.

How we use your information

• To authenticate you with Google and YouTube.
• To fetch and update your YouTube videos at your direction.
• To generate AI descriptions via the Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and OpenAI APIs (your video titles and descriptions are sent to these services as part of the prompt).
• To monitor usage of the Service for security and product improvements.

Information we do not collect

• We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.
• We do not store your YouTube videos or descriptions on our servers.
• We do not store your Google access tokens — they remain in your browser.
• We do not store the prompts or AI-generated descriptions on our servers — they are forwarded to the AI provider and the response is returned to your browser without persistence.

YouTube API Services

This app uses YouTube API Services. By using this app, you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

You can revoke this app's access to your Google account at any time at Google Account Permissions.

Third-party services

When you generate a description, the prompt (containing your video title and original description) is sent to the AI provider you choose. Each provider has its own privacy and data-retention policy:

• Google / YouTube — for authentication and YouTube data.
• Anthropic (Claude) — for Claude-generated descriptions. Requests are made directly from your browser to Anthropic using your own API key. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Google AI (Gemini) — for Gemini-generated descriptions. Requests are proxied through our server. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI (GPT) — for GPT-generated descriptions. Requests are proxied through our server. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Security

• All traffic is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
• Industry-standard HTTP security headers (HSTS, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy, Content Security Policy) are applied to harden the app against common web vulnerabilities.
• Server endpoints that forward prompts to AI providers are rate-limited per IP address to prevent abuse.
• Your Google OAuth flow uses PKCE; access tokens are stored only in your browser and are never written to our database.
• Your Anthropic API key (if you use Claude) is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never sent to our servers.
• The admin dashboard is protected by HTTP Basic Authentication and requires a server-side password.

Data retention

Login event records are retained for up to 12 months for security and analytics purposes, after which they are deleted. You may request deletion of your login records at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You can also delete your local data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
